- October: Kaukauna Gets a New Phone Number (October 1969, Kaukauna phone numbers now start with 766. Previously, they were only 6-XXXX!)
- November: This Big One-Historical Marker
- December: Sitting where the Piggly Wiggly and surrounding businesses now stand, the Lehrer landfill dominated the southern edge of the city for years. Despite a so-called 'Berlin Wall' separating the dump from houses on 20th Street, there was no stopping the stench and refuse that would blow into residents' yards. This month we look back at the city's garbage problem.
